GTA 6 on PC not yet
GTA 6 comes out on November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC version at launch and no PC date. Here is what Take-Two has said, and how long Rockstar took every time before.
Official word
What Rockstar and Take-Two have said
- Rockstar lists two platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing about PC, on the official site or in the pre-order announcement.
- Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said that Rockstar has historically launched on console first. He also denied that a PlayStation marketing deal is what keeps GTA 6 off PC at launch.
- At the September 2026 shareholder meeting he said Take-Two releases on platforms with a meaningful audience and that PC keeps getting more important to the company. He did not name GTA 6.
So: a PC version is likely, but it is not announced, and no one outside Rockstar knows the date.

The PS2 games waited 7 to 8 months, and GTA IV the same. Since then the wait has grown: GTA V took 19 months, RDR2 a year. The PC versions arrived with higher resolutions, unlocked frame rates and extra content, so the delay bought something.
Red Dead Redemption is the exception: it skipped PC for 14 years. A game the size of GTA 6 is unlikely to do the same, and Take-Two now calls PC more and more important.
Estimate, not a date
When GTA 6 could reach PC
On the GTA V and RDR2 pattern, 12 to 19 months after November 19, 2026 puts a PC version between late 2027 and mid 2028. A shorter wait is possible: Take-Two now says PC matters more than it did in 2013.
Until Rockstar announces it, ignore three things:
- “PC system requirements”. None exist. Lists with GPU names and gigabytes are guesses.
- Steam or Epic keys. There is no store page, so a key for sale is a scam.
- “PC download” or “PC beta” links. These are malware.

On launch day
PC player? Your options on November 19
- Buy a console. Xbox Series S is the cheapest machine that runs GTA 6; mind its storage on the preload calculator. Every device is checked on Platforms.
- Stream from a console you own. PS Remote Play (PS5) and the Xbox app (Series X|S) play the game on your PC screen, but the console does the work.
- Wait. The last two Rockstar PC versions came with higher resolutions, unlocked frame rates and extra content. Waiting has paid off before.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch. Rockstar lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and no PC version has been announced. Take-Two calls PC more and more important to the company, and every Rockstar open-world game except the first Red Dead Redemption reached PC within two years.
When is the GTA 6 PC release date?
There is none. If GTA 6 follows GTA 5 and RDR2, which took 19 and 12 months, a PC version would land between late 2027 and mid 2028. That is an estimate from history, not an announcement.
What are the GTA 6 PC system requirements?
Rockstar has published none. Every “GTA 6 PC requirements” list online today is made up.
Can I pre-order GTA 6 on Steam or Epic?
No. There is no Steam, Epic Games Store or Rockstar Games Launcher page for GTA 6. A site selling a PC key today is a scam.
Can I play GTA 6 on my PC anyway?
Only by streaming from a console you own: PS Remote Play streams a PS5 to a Windows PC or Mac, and the Xbox app does the same for an Xbox Series X|S. The game still runs on the console. No cloud service has announced GTA 6.
